lounging

Maeby demonstrates how to properly lounge in her scratch lounge. Of all the fluffy soft places to sleep in the house, we most often find her snoozing in this cardboard box.
My shout outs to the cloud. Or anyone who’s listening.

We have basically one rule for the cats: no jumping on the countertops or kitchen table. They don’t seem to obey this rule as it’s pretty hard to enforce when we’re gone all day. And I come home to find little paw prints on the stove. Maeby is usually the culprit. They like looking out the windows and chattering at the birds. Usually if we just approach them they get down.
So can you spot what is wrong with this picture?
That day, Maeby decided to be a little more rebellious and not jump down when I approached her.
“What? I’m not doing anything wrong am I?”
Ok, so maybe I’ll try yelling and swatting at her. Surely, that will get her down.
Nope. She ain’t scared of nobody. Stubborn-headed ninny muggins.

After we gave the cats another bath, we found Maeby warming her buns on Drew’s laptop.

What a looker, this one. Does she not deserve the cutest-most-photogenic-totally-adorable-kitty-in-the-world award?

Great – Maeby discovered the mouse. Which means she wants to stand in front of the monitor and bat at it anytime you happen to be moving it around. So I found a website just for her – Cattv.com! Sucker…

We quickly learned that Maeby has an affinity for TV, especially soccer. She bats at the players more than she does the ball.
She also enjoys Bill Maher.
Apparently she likes Chris Matthews as well.
Margot prefers to watch from a healthy distance.
We’ll just need to teach Maeby not to hog the remote.
