Finn at 2 months

Finn is now 2 months old! He did very well at his doctor’s visit this morning. Took his shots like a champ and even smiled on the way out. He’s 13 lbs and 23 inches long. Two whole pounds more than Harper was at this age! He’s a happy and growing boy!

He smiles very easily and already charms people he meets. He enjoys tummy time for minutes at a time and is getting good at lifting his chest to look around. This past month he had his first bottle and we broke out the bouncy seat. He likes to smile and coo at his toys while sitting in it – comes in handy at dinnertime! We wrap him in the miracle blanket at night since we had great success using it with Harper. He wasn’t a fan at first, but he’s sleeping longer and longer in it (although he’ll kick his leg out of it.) He still wakes up once in the middle of the night (usually around 2am) to eat and then sleeps until 6 or 7am.

Here are some pictures from the last month:

bluebonnet bust

We’ve been so busy…you know, having a baby and all…that we missed the peak of the Texas Bluebonnets here, but I didn’t want to miss our annual bluebonnet picture. Plus, this would be Finn’s first! The Bluebonnets bloom during a short span of time and we hit the tail end (plus I think this season was shorter due to the weather.) We went to the park near our house where there is usually a huge field of Bluebonnets, but there were only a few stragglers left. So we plopped the kids down near the few that we found.

With few flowers and the sun in their eyes, the picture is kind of a bust. But at least the kids looked cute!

And we had fun walking through the park on such a nice day.
