the prettiest whistles won’t wrestle the thistles undone

A few weeks ago, on a tip from my sister, I made my way to BookPeople downtown to a book signing for Wildwood by Colin Meloy and Carson Ellis. Colin Meloy is the lead singer and songwriter for The Decemberists, one of my favorite bands. Carson Ellis is a children’s book illustrator and Colin’s wife. The book looks fantastic, similar in style to Carson’s songwriting.
